History
CST is the original tyre brand of Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Co., founded in 1967 by Luo Jye in Yuanlin, Taiwan. The initials stand for Cheng Shin Tire, the name under which the company first sold its bicycle tyres before expanding into motorcycle, car, ATV and commercial vehicle tyres. Today Cheng Shin ranks among the largest tyre manufacturers in the world and runs plants across Asia. While the group markets its premium products under the separate Maxxis brand, CST stands for solid, good-value tyres and is distributed in more than 50 countries.
The CST motorcycle range is organised into off-road, adventure, sport, scooter and racing tyres. Sport riders will find the Magsport radials, while dual-sport and adventure bikes are served by tyres built for mixed asphalt and gravel use. For motocross and enduro there are knobby tyres for different ground conditions, and CST also offers a wide choice of bias-ply tyres for scooters, mopeds, classic bikes and small-displacement commuter motorcycles.
