History
Continental was founded in Hanover in 1871 as a rubber manufacturer and soon became one of Germany's pioneering tyre makers, producing pneumatic tyres for bicycles and, shortly afterwards, for cars. Over the following decades it grew into a global technology group, yet tyres have always remained at the heart of its business. Its motorcycle tyres are developed and built in Korbach, Germany, a site where tyres have been produced for more than a century.
The motorcycle portfolio is organised around the "Attack" family. ContiRaceAttack and ContiSportAttack tyres are designed for track and sport riding, while the ContiRoadAttack combines grip with durability for sport-touring. Riders of everyday machines can choose the ContiRoad, and the ContiTrailAttack serves adventure bikes that spend most of their time on tarmac. For rougher terrain, the TKC 70 and the legendary knobby TKC 80 are popular choices on large enduros. Classic bikes are supported by the ContiClassicAttack, and the range also includes scooter tyres.
